I wonder how much of that has to do with the fact that he probably has an elevated percentage of players 1) who think going super-mechanical is going to help them (based on his reputation as a mechanist, which I think isn't really deserved), and are usually wrong; and/or 2) who are really in bad shape and ready to try anything, inclined to want to break everything down to the molecular level, etc. emncaity@italodiscorevival but it _is_ true that some players do way betetr with him than others do.
